Tooting my own horn

Last month, I attended an event at the BC Sports Hall of Fame to open a new exhibit called "In Her Footsteps - Celebrating BC Women in Sport". My former womens Ultimate Frisbee team (Prime/Team Canada) was one of three inductees into the exhibit. It was very cool to be formally recognized for all of our acheivements in the sport over the past 8 years. It was especially cool to be reunited with our World Championship trophy, which was unceremoniously left on the field after we won gold in Heilbronn Germany in 2000 (the bell and case weighed over 100 pounds!). Somehow, the bell managed to find its way onto an Air Canada flight and back home to Vancouver to be a lasting part of the exhibit. Hoorah for the bell, enshildijung forever, double pumps for us!

Christine, I'm a bit lost in cyberspace right now. But I'll see if this comment gets posted and go on from there.

Christine, this is earned recognition for some great achievements by Prime. What I will always remember about you is the discipline you brought to your training. It was not something evident in your youth, but it will serve you in good stead through your life as you tackle other challenges.
